Engine & Performance
The 2025 Equinox is powered by a turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine that delivers 175 horsepower. Front-wheel drive models come with a continuously variable automatic transmission, while all-wheel drive models get an eight-speed automatic. On the road, the Equinox offers a comfortable ride, a relaxed driving experience, and smooth steering. It's not designed for high-performance driving or off-road adventures.
Interior
The Equinox offers a spacious interior with plenty of room for both passengers and cargo. The cabin features a modern design with high-quality materials and a mix of physical and digital controls. Cloth seats are standard, while faux leather seats are optional. The top-trim Activ model comes with a combination of vinyl and microfiber for a more luxurious feel. A column-mounted shifter provides more storage space in the center console, which includes a rotary knob for the infotainment system, a wireless charging pad, and cupholders.
Infotainment System
The Equinox features two large digital screens on the dashboard. An 11.3-inch infotainment screen is positioned in the center and angled towards the driver. It runs Chevy's latest Google-based system, which includes Google Maps navigation and a Wi-Fi hotspot. In front of the driver, an 11.0-inch digital gauge cluster provides customizable information.
