The Chevy Silverado 1500 pickup truck has a strong history of hard work, like a family trait passed down through the years. It's been used on ranches, construction sites, and for pulling boats to lakeside homes for generations. And that hardworking spirit is still alive today. The new Silverado 1500 comes with several engine options, like a turbo four-cylinder, two V-8s, and a Duramax diesel, so it can handle both work and fun.
When it comes to towing, the Silverado 1500 is a champion. It can tow more weight than the Ram 1500 and GMC Sierra 1500. If you like playing in the mud, there's a special version called the Silverado 1500 ZR2 that comes with additional modifications to enable it's off-road ability.
Whats New for 2024
The Silverado 1500 for 2024 has several modifications from the 2023 version. Lakeshore Blue and Slate Gray are now metallic paint options, the 420-hp 6.2-liter V-8 is equipped with active exhaust for an aggressive sound, the Midnight Edition is available on High Country trim and the Blackout appearance package can be added on Custom, Custom Trail Boss, RST, and LT Trail Boss models. Additionally, OnStar and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto have been included as standard in all Silverados, even the base Work Truck. As a final update, Chevy renames its 310-hp 2.7-liter four-cylinder to TurboMax.
